The recent threats by Iran has led to the escalation of the situation in the region because of Iranian threats to target the US bases in the Gulf because Tehran is known to have the capabilities to target Europe with its missiles, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting informed sources.

However, there are US efforts to control Iran by holding a tripartite meeting between the United States, Israel, and Russia to calm down the situation. The goals of the Americans are clear but Iran will not be easily subject to them.

On the three Saudi summits and the Arab and Islamic positions against Iran, the sources stressed that the statements issued by the summits sent a clear message to the Iranian regime rejecting Iranian actions and practices in the region.

Most countries participating in the summits have expressed their solidarity with Saudi Arabia and resented destabilization of the security of the region by Iran, lack of respect for neighboring countries and interference in the internal affairs of some countries.

The summits pointed out the Kuwaiti mediation to resolve the Gulf dispute exists and have not stopped but nothing new is seen on the horizon, but there are efforts.

On the participation of Kuwait in the Manama economic conference to invest in the Palestinian territories, the sources said the participation has not been determined so far, in view of the possibility of postponement of the conference because of the Israeli elections to be held in September.
