Kuwait and Saudi to produce 325,000 b/d from Al Khafji oilfields

Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud said that production from the shared oil fields is expected to reach 325,000 barrels per day by end of 2020.

Al Khafji Joint Operations (KJO) will resume production in the Saudi-Kuwaiti Divided Zone oilfields gradually.

Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud said that production from the shared oil fields is expected to reach 325,000 barrels per day by end of 2020.

The Saudi minister was attending a reception at the KJO premises in the Saudi city of Khafji along with Kuwaiti Oil Minister Khaled Al Fadhel, according to a KJO statement.

The two countries signed a key agreement last Tuesday to resume production in the oilfields of the Divided Zone, according to KUNA.
