The Kuwaiti supreme committee for search and rescue, chaired by President of Kuwait Directorate General for Civil Aviation Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah, approved the national plan for search and rescue.

In a press statement on Thursday, the committee's rapporteur Emad Al-Sanousi said the plan aims to upgrade Kuwait's listing in international organizations through providing fast rescue services for aviation accidents in Kuwait, for the whole 24 hours.

He added that the plan follows international standards and protocols and it will also include specialized training courses for the staff.
