KUWAIT, Dec 3 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Ministry of Interior has rescinded a decision to impound vehicles found in violation of traffic regulations, pending amendments to traffic laws soon.
The decision has been made to ensure stringent road safety standards through a comprehensive traffic law, read a statement issued by the ministry on Sunday.
The ministry had previously drafted a law where motorists had their vehicles impounded for not wearing a helmet, a seatbelt or using their mobile phones while driving.
As per the new decision, these measures have now been rendered null and void.
