Some members of Economic Committee have voiced out the need to exempt certain consumable items from the value added tax (VAT) policy.

The Ministry of Finance has postponed the implementation of value added tax on consumable services to conduct further studies to address the existing concerns.

The ministry has specified categories to be included in the list of items the policy will be applicable starting from early 2020.
